3K Twill Weave Carbon Fiber Fabric
— Iconic Herringbone Pattern · Superior Wet‑Out · Versatile Prepreg Base Material
1. Product Concept
Our 3K twill weave carbon fiber fabric uses 3 000‑filament PAN‑based tow woven in a 2×2 twill pattern: each warp yarn passes over two weft yarns, forming a 45° “herringbone” texture. This weave delivers outstanding 0°/90° and ±45° shear strength, excellent drapability for hand lay‑up, vacuum bagging, RTM, and prepreg processes, and a striking 3D appearance.
2. Key Advantages
- High Specific Strength: ≥ 3500 MPa tensile strength at only 1.79 g/cm³ density.
- Excellent Conformability: 15–20% greater elongation vs. plain weave, wraps complex curves without wrinkling.
- Wide Resin Compatibility: Epoxy, vinyl ester, polyester, phenolic—wet‑out in ≤ 60 s at 25 °C.
- Premium Finish: Deep black glossy twill, suitable as a decorative surface without secondary coating.
- Weather & Flame Resistance: UV‑stable formula; UL94‑V0 option; outdoor use up to 5 years without chalking.
